Get Back

What is our problem? Answer: The man in the Presidential Office taking everything that we hold as democracy and stepping all over it. What anybody can say that is pessimistic about George W. Bush right now would be considered to me as absolute truth, even the most outrageous comment. Anybody that believes in him is diluting themselves. I used to, from the get go. But since September 11th 2001 he has lost it completely, there is no other way to put it. Nothing intellectually stimulating can be said. He has lost ground and the first place where he lost it was Iraq. I saw reasoning for a short time, but tossing aside the worlds opinion and ignoring their pleas of caution was a mistake. No he had to go right after Iraq with no real game plan. What century does he think he is in? Does he not know the expense of war, especially in this day and age? I never thought that I would have this idea, that George W. Bush truly is an idiot.

Possible Re-election

This is highly unlikely at this point. Every time he turns around something flies in the face of conviction. I have to say that George W. Bush worries me and it isn’t in just what his opponents say about him, they wouldn’t be as theoretic about conspiracies pertaining to the administration. Such as, did he know about the attack? Theoretically speaking, he could have. However, even at that, why did he not use all his power to bring Osama Bin Ladin to justice? At this time, as with the case of the beginning I have thought that he chose the fight with Saddam on the grounds that he was a military leader and that George had to fight someone and what better opponent than someone a country bumpkin could understand. There is a parable here to the fight with Japan and Germany, as with the case even today the fight with Germany gets more press. Documentaries on TV always depict Germany more often than Japan even though they were being fought at the same time. In school it was so biased in teaching that I always had the idea that it these were two separate wars. When history is written in American textbooks what will they say about the war in Iraq? When, in all actuality the war with our real enemy is to this day being fought in Afghanistan against our enemy Osama. Iraq is a shadow. I don’t know, just as I wouldn’t have known back in WW2, if I was alive what was going on. Japan fights on our shores; Germany declares war on us (to Roosevelt’s relief) and the world is plummeted into the dark ages of nuclear threat because of what nation? If you answer that question you might be able to answer even more for yourself. By the way, Roosevelt was already dead, and Truman was in office.

My constant thread

Indeed, the parable of WW2 is the constant thread, furthermore, why not? Why do we learn history anyway? Are we taught it so as not to repeat it? Sure we are. But once we find a seat of power we our in for the now, forget what we have learned, damn the torpedoes, full steam ahead. Glorious thought that, ideal even, in another age. Our time now, the one we all live in today in the present is about as scary as I ever remember. Why would I have a dream of mushroom clouds in the distance, never seen it quite the way I did as in this dream. No movie was the guide. The worlds a mess and the US would be better off not playing cops and robbers with it, the odds are stacked against and those odds are getting worse everyday. Iraq is a mess, the whole Arab/Asia area is a mess. Society, civility, conscience, and humanity, has found its way into some areas, and not because of the ridiculous idea that they need democracy, right now as much of that is being taken away from us on a profoundly obvious bases. But, western civilization has nothing to do with it, it is just learning to live in the cultural soup.

I would like to see the day

Indeed, the day when bombs of any kind stop going off. Much of that is sheer idiocy. Us in the western world cannot understand fighting over an area smaller than most of our states. Of course Britain had a war fighting over rocks as far as I was concerned, called them the Falkland Islands. But that is another place in time and short lived. The fighting with Palestinians and Israelis has been going on since a certain man walked the streets with a cross on his shoulder, it has been said that his burden is ours. You have no idea.
